to visit mamaw Nika and papaw Mike (Emme's grandparents). My friend Tierny grew up on a lake in Northern Indiana... gorgeous! Whenever we go up to visit it reminds me of the cottage I went to every summer growing up in Northern Wisconsin. The same water and camp fire smells and wind and wave sounds, as well as my hatred for seaweed, all come flooding back to me. We never made it up there last summer so the last time Ava was there she was only a few months old. This was her first experience with lake water and she didn't miss a beat. We did have to climb out a few times to pick the seaweed out of her toes, but other than that she enjoyed it thoroughly. Even more than the swimming was the boat rides! Every morning she woke up asking when we could take a boat ride. Her and Emme, as usual, were their very own party. They are a mixture of love and hate and when they aren't screaming yes! and no! back and forth they are usually giggling together. And when their mommies aren't pulling their hair out listening to their incessant whining and hundreds of questions... they are usually giggling together too. :)
